in akrting that move wouldnt be punished and im sure in F1 it wouldnt too, if i was the other driver i would have seen it coming that he couldnt slow down on the gravel. Although the overtaking guy did brake too late...

that move where the guy came back on the track after braking too late was totally fair, the guy that got pushed sideways slightly should have knew he was coming back on track....

normally i think the differences between LFS and real life are the fact that, if u are in a good position u dont want to crash because it will ruin your race in real life, not the fear of getting hurt, spending cash etc...

also, most people in sims dont udnerstand racing, like not sticking on the outside of sum1 round a corner. so many times they hit the wall then vote to bad me or whatever from their own mistake. admittedly sometimes i squeeze them off but in the same situation as them id back out.

for me, fear doesnt come into it in real life, like sum1 above said once that lid goes on u feel no danger!!

ajp, kart tyres are very soft and u loose 0.4 by having old tyres on. i was slow on saturday with my old tyres, i only had the manditory 1 set of control tyres for sunday.

one of the biggest costs in karting is team/mechanic. my m8 spends 300 a day on awning (team) and 200 a weekend on mechanic. that adds up to over a grand. another place liefde forgot to mention was engine rental which is 150 a weekend for around 3 engines. friday practise and control fuel would add up to almost 100.

miscellaneous would be alot higher due to damage, approx 200-300.

travel and sleeping would add up to a fair few quid aswell

thanks again to live for speed, i jus did my 1st national kart championship and came 6th!! on a 300 a weekend budget, which is 10 times less than most other competitors, and i have only raced as a non novice 11 times!!

i put this all down to live for speed teaching me race craft and it DOES help real life racing! thanks again scawen eric and victor!

last week i passed my drivin test, in only 6 lessons. and the reason for the speed of my pass is because if live for speed (and real racin) but id say, mostly live for speed..

so thanks scawen, eric and victor! you saved me a hell of a lot of cash!
